Okanagan Lake

The ever-impressive Okanagan Lake, reaching a total of 135km from the north (Vernon) to the south (Penticton), provides limitless enjoyment for its visitors.

Golden sandy beaches are plentiful, as are boat launches, with some of the more popular shores enhanced by nearby eateries. In Kelowna’s Waterfront Park, a winding paved path weaves around the water’s edge, ensuring that walkers and cyclists have an optimum view of the Valley. Similarly, Penticton recently saw an upgrade to its lakefront promenade, and has since garnered great attention from the revitalization.

With a history rich in mythology, Okanagan Lake is famous for its legendary lake monster, Ogopogo. Though the existence of the under-water creature has never been proven, many claim to have seen it.
